Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

reputed company is currently seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a remote, contract opportunity with our reputed company. reputed company In this role, you will create design solutions for the design development of various reactor structures and components for the Natrium reputed company IV Reactor. You will work as part of a high functioning team of engineers and scientists reputed company on developing the design of reputed company advanced nuclear reactors. Responsibilities • Design of reactor structures and components from requirements through final design. • Coordinate inputs and requirements from engineering and project teams to produce equipment and components design solutions. • reputed company scoping analysis and calculations for design reputed company. • reputed company with reputed company’s engineering analysis activities. • Technically manage supplier activities. • Present equipment and components design results for design reviews. • Assess technical reputed company of solutions provided by team members, including leading design reviews. • reputed company with junior engineers and subcontractors, providing direction and mentoring. • Support reputed company learning and application of nuclear industry best practices to maintain the highest reputed company of engineering design and proactively identify process change/enhancement opportunities. Qualifications • B.S. degree in Mechanical engineering or equivalent preferred • Minimum of eight years of equipment/component design experience; relevant M.S. degree credited as two years of experience. Requirements • Working experience with ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel reputed company reputed company III. • Experience writing design specifications. • Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA). • Experience in finite reputed company stress analysis, mechanical analysis reputed company, and reputed company mechanical stress analysis modeling tools with emphasis on ANSYS. • Excellent writing and communication skills. • Strong analytical/problem solving skills, creative thinker. • Ability to work with minimum direction to solve challenging problems. • Ability to work on multiple tasks concurrently during a given work week. • Familiarity with CAD, SolidWorks preferred. • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and reputed company, communicate reputed company and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork.
