**Key Responsibilities**
As a Customer Service Representative - Water Billing Specialist at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
* Responding to routine telephone inquiries from the public and other city departments, providing accurate and timely information on water billing services, including prior service connections, disconnections, transfers, extensions of payment, sewer/water averaging, and explanations of billing and general information.
* Entering change of service information into our data system and verifying customer details to ensure accuracy and compliance.
* Maintaining various computer records, including change of address, type of service used, comment files of records of customer contacts, and non-payment accounts lists.
* Posting to simple numerical records and ensuring that all customer information is up-to-date and accurate.
* Operating a two-way radio to receive and transmit messages and information, and responding to customer queries in a timely and professional manner.
* Operating a variety of basic office equipment, including printers, scanners, and photocopiers.
* Maintaining confidentiality of customer information and adhering to arenaflex's data protection policies.
**Essential Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A high school diploma or equivalent, with at least one course in general office practices or six months of work experience involving general office duties.
* A valid typing speed of 35 words per minute (WPM) to pass a typing test prior to accepting an application or resume.
* Knowledge of general office practice and procedures, including data entry, record-keeping, and customer service principles.
* Ability to keep customer information confidential and maintain accurate records.
* Familiarity with various office machines and operation techniques, including basic arithmetic and data entry skills.
* Ability to read, understand, and interpret city policies and procedures.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers and the general public.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
**Preferred Qualifications**
