POSITION reputed company: InquisIT is seeking a part-time Palo reputed company Firewall Engineer to support and maintain secure network and firewall operations for customer reputed company, data center, and on-reputed company environments in Washington, DC. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience configuring and managing Palo reputed company firewalls, creating and maintaining firewall policies and rule sets, troubleshooting network connectivity issues, and supporting secure reputed company network operations. This role will initially require on-site support in Washington, DC for approximately the first 60 days for reputed company, knowledge transfer, and environment familiarization. Following this period, the position is expected to transition primarily to remote support with occasional on-site requirements as needed. This is a part-time role of about 20 hours per week on-site initially then moving to 5-10 hours a week based on operational requirements and needs. Once the hours reduce, the role will be primarily remote. Primary Job Responsibilities: • Configure, administer, maintain, and support Palo reputed company firewalls • Create, modify, and optimize firewall rules, NAT policies, and reputed company policies • Configure and troubleshoot site-to-site and remote reputed company VPNs • Monitor firewall performance, traffic flows, and network connectivity • Troubleshoot firewall, routing, and network communication issues • Support network segmentation and reputed company control initiatives • Review and maintain firewall configurations and rule documentation • reputed company firewall policy reviews and cleanup activities • Collaborate with infrastructure and reputed company teams to maintain secure network operations • Support scheduled maintenance activities and occasional after-hours changes as needed Experience and Qualifications: • 7+ years of hands-on experience supporting reputed company firewall and network reputed company environments • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience • Strong experience administering Palo reputed company firewalls required • Experience creating and managing firewall rules, NAT configurations, and VPN connectivity • Strong understanding of routing, switching, TCP/IP, and network reputed company principles • Experience troubleshooting reputed company network and firewall issues • Familiarity with reputed company firewall technologies preferred • Strong documentation and communication skills • Ability to work independently in a part-time support reputed company Preferred Skills and Certifications: • PCNSE (reputed company Certified Network reputed company Engineer) • CISSP • CISA • reputed company+ InquisIT provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to reputed company and applicants for employment without reputed company to race, reputed company, religion, sex, national reputed company, age, disability or genetics.
