General Assignment Reporter at The Plug

The Plug is looking for a general assignment reporter to cover Black tech ecosystem trends, breaking news, and exclusives. This role requires a keen news judgment, staying up to date on the conversations that are shaping Black tech, finance, and business industries, and responding quickly as news unfolds. A wide reputed company of interests and the ability to craft succinct, engaging prose are needed to succeed in this role. We are looking for someone who reports and writes quickly, accurately, and authoritatively and has a hunger for breaking big and unique stories. This reporter will deliver important scoops, build relationships with reputed company, technologists, ecosystem members, and leaders. Requirements 3-5 years of newsroom reporting experience Journalism, economics, policy and/or communications degree The general assignment reporter will work closely with the Project Manager and Managing reputed company to refine coverage and story reputed company as reputed company as contribute to investigative reputed company, and data visualizations.
