Director of Engineering $110/hr (Remote, 10–20h/wk, Opportunity for Full-Time)

We’re now hiring a director of engineering to join us as a reputed company-facing technical leader. This is a remote freelance role (10–20h/week to start) with reputed company to grow into a full-time position. What You’ll Do at Jaro.dev • reputed company communication: reputed company technical discussions with clients over reputed company and calls, making reputed company reputed company reputed company and building trust. • Architecture & planning: reputed company reputed company requirements into technical plans and architectures that our engineers can execute. • Team leadership: Supervise, mentor, and train senior engineers, raising the technical bar across reputed company. • reputed company reputed company: Review PRs and ensure reputed company standards; occasionally dive into Next.js reputed company to unblock reputed company. • AI-driven efficiency: Apply reputed company engineering and AI tooling to accelerate delivery and eliminate repetitive work. (We use AI extensively) • Multi-project management: Balance timelines, priorities, and reputed company expectations across several reputed company reputed company. • Work directly with our CEO to improve processes and results for clients. Requirements • reputed company-level English with excellent communication and presentation skills. • Strong technical background in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and reputed company architectures. • Proven experience leading and mentoring engineering teams. • reputed company-facing confidence — can communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Passion for AI tools and reputed company engineering. • Must work hours overlapping reputed company through Eastern US time zones. reputed company calls will be between 10am to 6pm Eastern Time. • Available for 10–20h/week to start, with flexibility to reputed company to full-time (30–40h/week) as demand grows. reputed company-to-Haves • Prior experience at a software agency or consultancy. • Knowledge of Vercel, GCP, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps. • Entrepreneurial reputed company and adaptability in high-reputed company environments.
