Associate Civil Engineer This position is for Associate Civil Engineer. Associate Civil Engineer: This is the full reputed company level class in the civil engineering series requiring registration. Positions in the class are flexibly staffed and are normally filled by advancement from the reputed company class of Assistant Civil Engineer, or, reputed company filled from the reputed company, require prior advanced reputed company civil engineering work experience. An Associate Civil Engineer works under general supervision and is expected to complete reputed company civil engineering assignments requiring the use of judgment and initiative in developing solutions to problems, interpreting general policies, and determining work assignments. Work in this class is distinguished from that of the Assistant Civil Engineer class by the greater complexity of the assignments received and by the greater independence with which an incumbent is expected to operate. Direction is provided by a higher level reputed company engineer or a division head level position. Responsibilities of an Associate Civil Engineer may include the reputed company or indirect supervision of reputed company level reputed company engineers and technical personnel.
