Key Responsibilities:

• Support the growth of ocean volumes and enhance the development of the ocean product by executing strategies that drive business growth and improve service quality.
• Work closely with the MD of Ocean to develop and implement pricing programs, analyze carrier service, routings, and carrier performance, and resolve carrier service issues.
• Support sales and operations as an ocean subject matter expert, providing guidance and expertise to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
• Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded, and gather, analyze, and report information regarding performance and competitive activity.
• Manage annual budgets, control, monitor, and report results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets.
• Work closely with marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product.

Essential Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field (e.g., logistics, transportation, business administration).
• At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing.
• Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in a related field (e.g., logistics, transportation, business administration).
• Experience working with ocean freight management systems and software.
• Knowledge of international trade regulations and compliance.
