Our publication focuses on delivering engaging editorial content that highlights local leaders, entrepreneurs, and community initiatives. We are currently seeking a Remote Editor / Copy Editor to join our editorial team and ensure all written content meets professional standards for clarity, accuracy, and consistency. Role Overview The Editor / Copy Editor will review and refine editorial content for both digital and print publication. This role involves proofreading articles, ensuring adherence to editorial guidelines, and collaborating with writers to maintain a consistent tone and quality across all published material. This is a fully remote position that requires strong communication skills and the ability to manage deadlines independently. Responsibilities • Edit and proofread articles, features, and editorial submissions for grammar, punctuation, and clarity • Ensure content aligns with the publication’s editorial standards and style guidelines • Review content for factual accuracy and formatting consistency • Work with writers and contributors to revise and finalize articles before publication • Coordinate with the design and digital publishing teams when preparing content for release • Maintain editorial schedules and ensure deadlines are met Qualifications • Minimum 1 year of professional editing or copyediting experience • Strong command of English grammar, spelling, and editorial standards • Experience editing digital media, blog, or magazine content preferred • Familiarity with AP Style or other editorial style guides is a plus • Ability to work independently in a remote environment • Strong attention to detail and time-management skills Work Environment • Fully remote position within the United States • Flexible work environment with collaboration through digital communication tools Compensation Salary Range: $62,000 – $78,000 per year (depending on experience) Application Process Interested candidates should apply directly through the Wellfound platform.
