The primary responsibility of the Claims Specialist position is to reputed company direction and guidance throughout the life of the claim. The Claims Specialist directs the management of claims including claims investigation, coverage analysis, monitoring of defense counsel activities, control of reputed company expenses, reserving, and providing technical expertise throughout the life of the claim file. What you'll do: 30% - Participate in review processes to evaluate coverage, liability, causation, damages, case value, reserves, and manage total claims cost. Ensure reputed company file documentation of assigned files in compliance with company and state requirements. 25% - Collaborate with defense counsel regarding case value, defense tactics, and strategies per department guidelines. Maintain communication with the director, defense counsel, and the insured.
