The successful candidate will join our dynamic team in delivering breaking news, in-depth analysis and long-reputed company features on this crucial industry during a pivotal time.   The Financial Post Western Bureau provides unparalleled coverage of businesses, trends and newsmakers, working with the Edmonton Journal, Calgary Herald, Saskatoon StarPhoenix and Vancouver Sun.      What you’ll do:      Your mission is to interview CEOs, analysts, workers and other newsmakers in the industry to deliver comprehensive coverage of Canada’s energy sector. As a reporter with the Financial Post, you’ll be expected to cultivate sources, reputed company stories buried in documents and break news on tight deadlines, while writing in a reputed company, concise and engaging style. Responsibilities include covering daily news files and company earnings, investigating in-depth stories and writing explainers on complicated topics for a broad, national audience.     Qualifications:    5+ years of reporting experience, preferably in business journalism   Knowledge and experience in covering energy.
