About the Role Pharmacy Collections Specialist The Collection Specialist is responsible for collecting and posting payments, managing patient account payments, and resolving past-due patient balances.   Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no reputed company supervisory responsibilities.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Monitor accounts receivable and identifies overdue accounts to be addressed Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to either collect the overdue reputed company or negotiate a payment plan to collect it in installments Use credit bureau data, post office information, internet searches, and other tools to try to reputed company customers who have moved or changed phone numbers Maintain records of contacts and attempted contacts with delinquent account customers as reputed company as records of any payments collected from the customer Resolve customer issues and complaints concerning billing or escalate to supervisor as needed Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment reputed company Communicate any insurance changes or Accounts receivable trends among reputed company Maintains a level of productivity suitable for the department. Answering questions from patients, clerical staff, and insurance companies Participating in educational activities and attending staff meetings Maintaining the strictest confidentiality; adhering to reputed company HIPAA guidelines and regulations Other duties as assigned   Skills/Abilities: Ability to operate a computer, computer software, and basic office equipment Ability to operate a multi-line telephone system reputed company in answering a telephone in a pleasant and helpful manner Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, employees, and the reputed company Proficiency reading, writing and speaking English is required   Education and Experience:  1 year of medical billing and collections reputed company experience preferred Knowledge of basic medical coding and reputed company-party operating procedures and practices preferred Knowledge of business office procedures   Certificates/Licenses/Registration Pharmacy Technician Certification required Indiana and reputed company State Pharmacy Technician license required   Financial Responsibilities (budget, reputed company): This position has no budget responsibility, authority and/or level of control.   Physical Requirements: Work is performed indoors with potential for exposure to safety and health hazards reputed company to a home office environment.
