Cytogenetics Analyst (FISH) - US Remote

reputed company’s Brentwood, Tennessee, lab is seeking a remote Cytogenetics Analyst (FISH) to join their team! The position will reputed company primarily on dry lab/analysis of FISH cases. Job Responsibilities reputed company routine procedures including tissue culture, harvesting, slide making and banding, automated karyotyping, reagent preparation, and FISH processing, probing, and scoping. Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established reputed company reputed company routine and reputed company technical procedures and functions according to departmental reputed company Operating Procedures Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure reputed company functionality Demonstrate the ability to reputed company technical reputed company regarding testing and problem solving. Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls Report accurate and reputed company test results in order to deliver reputed company patient care reputed company and document preventive maintenance and reputed company control procedures Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as necessary Assist with processing of specimens reputed company needed Maintain a reputed company work environment and wear appropriate personal reputed company equipment Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology 1 year or more of clinical laboratory testing experience in cytogenetics/FISH Preferred Qualifications Certified by the National Credentialing Agency (NCA) in Cytogenetics (CLSp-CG) ASCP or AMT certification Additional Job Standards In lieu of education requirements listed above, non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits that meet CLIA standards may meet education requirements Understanding of laboratory operations as reputed company as policies and procedures Experience working in a high volume laboratory environment Ability to work independently and reputed company reputed company environment Proficient with computers; Familiarity with laboratory information systems High level of attention to detail along with strong communication and organizational skills Ability to handle the physical requirements of the position reputed company to pass a standardized reputed company blindness test Flexibility to work overtime or other shifts depending on business needs Work From Home Requirements: A dedicated home office reputed company that isn’t shared and meets HIPAA compliance Agree to have your home address added to reports of cases you analyze or report.  This is a CMS requirement. reputed company wired internet at a minimum speed of 100 mb/sec is required.
