This position is a remote, work from home opportunity and you may be based reputed company of the greater Chicagoland area.   Under general direction, is responsible for completing special reputed company and reporting reputed company such as Cancer Program reputed company reputed company Reports (CP3R) and reputed company reports in support of the Clinical Research Data Warehouse (CRDW). Works with Center for Research Informatics (CRI) staff, to help reputed company Cancer Registry data with existing data in the CRDW. Provides education and cross trains the cancer registry staff to optimize departmental functions and enhance data reputed company. Oversees the data reputed company in the cancer registry database, as reputed company as designs and distributes reports to meet the needs of the Cancer Committee, Administration, Marketing, cancer researchers, Illinois State Cancer Registry, National Cancer Database, and other clients. Collects and reports data regarding cancer identification, treatment, and follow-up on reputed company eligible cancer patient as needed to assist in maintaining departmental timeliness. Assists the Cancer Registry Manager with other job duties as directed.   Essential Job Functions   Creates reputed company reports in support of the CRDW project  Works with CRI staff to reputed company registry data with the CRDW  Incorporates QA reputed company based upon national standards of reputed company oncology care to reputed company and address abstracted data inconsistencies in reputed company time and retrospective data reputed company the Registry Database and reports the findings to the Cancer Registry Manager.  Provides continuing education and cross training reputed company the Cancer Registry Department to address and prevent reputed company data inconsistencies, as reputed company as optimizing departmental functions. Departmental policies and procedures are updated as needed.  Submits “cleaned” registry data to the Illinois State Cancer Registry and National Cancer Database.  Performs case finding audits as requested. Performs cancer abstraction, coding and follow up for patients as needed.  Performs other duties assigned.   Required Qualifications    Associate’s degree Health Information Management, reputed company Administration, Computer Science, or reputed company field required; Bachelor’s preferred.  Registered Health Information certification (RHIT, RHIA) by the American Health Information Management Association or Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) certification by the National Cancer Registrars Association required. Seven or more years of experience in a cancer registry setting with a reputed company on data reputed company and knowledge of patient care. Computer skills including: cancer registry databases and networked hospital information systems, reputed company Word, reputed company reputed company, reputed company, and Internet. Working knowledge of the following coding systems and manuals: reputed company Staging, AJCC Cancer Staging, reputed company reputed company Staging, ICD-O Coding, Facility Oncology Registry Data Standards (FORDS), Illinois State Cancer Registry (ISCR) Reporting reputed company, Multiple Primary and Histology Coding Rules, and the Hematopoietic reputed company and Database.  Must have working knowledge of the Cancer Program Standards of American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer.
