The Role
Payroll Operations Manager is responsible for leading the country or countries assigned to them. You will be required to manage resources, handle client escalations, provide sales support along with procurement administration. The Operations Manager will ensure that country payrolls are processed timely and accurately using the agreed upon standards and client requirements. As Operations Manager you are expected to display decision-making skills that support all company and payroll policies while maintaining and supporting a professional environment.
Key responsibilities:
Support the Operations Managers and other team members to ensure consistent, timely and accurate payroll delivery for countries and clients assigned. All activities should be handled according to the defined standards and client requirements
Effectively monitor and manage resources to limit risk to the customer
Support the Operations Managers as it relates to annual payroll calendar creation and are adhered to by the client. Deviations should be dealt with via the appropriate change control process
Effectively manage and monitor all client SLAs using the appropriate BI tools to ensure adherence to targets; if targets are not being met, work with the Operations Managers to determine the root cause and action plan
Ability to utilize the hrX suite of tools as it relates to payroll processing and associated activities
Undertake, support and manage a Root Cause Analysis (RCA) when an issue occurs resulting in a client escalation ensuring that mitigating actions are implemented
Effectively communicate with the client and internal stakeholders as it relates to payroll activities
Support and adhere to all security compliance procedures while managing security incidents as per the defined process
Support of the sales life cycle including payroll practices and legislation requirements
Upskill and develop colleagues through training delivery and coaching to enable them to fulfil their role
Manage schedule adherence, team productivity, capacity and utilization
Support technical issue coordination and resolution
Maintain current knowledge of legislation requirements; system updates, changes and overall payroll procedures
Maintain a professional environment; correct behaviors and enforce the use of business etiquette
Required Experience:
Prior experience in Team Management
5+ years relevant experience administering Payroll or Health & Welfare/Benefits in an HR Consulting, HR Outsourcing or other corporate environment focused on British or Irish region
Experience in stakeholders management
Advanced English skills (minimum B2)
Flexibility to support a global and fast paced environment
Attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal skills
Self-motivated and a willingness to learn
