Remote Medical Coder
Note: This is a Remote role with 1 to 2 weeks of onsite training.
Job Title: In patient Medical Coder (Remote)
Location: New York, NY
Shift: 8hr Day Shift
Contract: 13 weeks
Weekly hours: 40 hours weekly
Pay: $800 to $1100 weekly
Job Description
1. Medical coding in an acute care setting
2. Must possess proficient computer skills (e.g., MS Word, Excel, ICD 9 CM, CPT 4, Encoder)
3. Knowledge of coding guidelines, payor guidelines, federal billing guidelines; knowledge of anatomy, physiology & disease processes; ability to research coding related issues
4. Competence in coder training
5. Must have CCS and knowledgeable with 3M/HDS coding application
6. Inpatient and ED experience.
Requirements:
1. AHIMA, RHIA or RHIT and/or CCP, CCS
2. 3+ years of Medical Coding experience
3. Knowledge of ICD codes.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $800.00 - $1,100.00 per week
