Sr. Interregional Strategist: $87,950 - $112,190

The Sr. Interregional Strategist leads the effective execution of interregional market processes under SPP’s seams agreements and serves as the primary reputed company of contact for members, seams neighbors, and internal departments. This role requires strong communication, relationship building, and collaboration across SPP, neighboring utilities, stakeholders, regulators, and other RTOs/ISOs.
The ideal candidate independently identifies and advances improvements to seams agreements and market coordination processes, supports the full lifecycle of interregional market initiatives, and provides policy guidance from design through implementation. This role requires the ability to understand and communicate reputed company technical and policy reputed company while working closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, regulators, and neighboring utilities.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the Seams Advisory Group and associated task forces, including developing meeting materials, coordinating internal input, presenting information, and taking meeting minutes

Represent and communicate SPP’s interests and positions in stakeholder, regulatory, and industry forums
Support cross-functional market processes, including governing document management, project reputed company review, and strategic initiative coordination
Analyze proposed process and system changes to determine market and operational impacts
Support Markets Strategic Initiative Requests and other special reputed company through scoping, scheduling, coordination, reputed company assessments, execution, tracking, and reporting

Support FERC filings by providing data and assisting with testimony and filing letters
Research and analyze the design of other RTO/ISO markets

To be successful in the role we're looking for:
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or reputed company field and five years of experience, OR eight years of experience without a degree
Seven (7) years of relevant job-reputed company experience in excess of the educational requirements above

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. The typical work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Work hours may vary based on organizational and operational needs, as determined by management. Occasional extended or nonstandard hours may be required.
Travel Requirement:
This position requires occasional travel (approximately 10-20%)
