About the position This position supervises reputed company activities reputed company to the daily operations and post-processing of reputed company LiDAR (Light Detection and Ranging) and imagery data compiled by the Remote Sensing Unit. Please visit our DOTD Career Center for more information about our agency: http://wwwsp.dotd.la.gov/Inside_LaDOTD/Divisions/Mgmt_Finance/HR/Pages/Career_Center.aspx Responsibilities • Supervises and works along with staff in LiDAR data extraction/compilation generated and maintained by the Office of Engineering. • Oversees and assists in production of detailed LiDAR derivative products as requested. • Supervises the development, implementation, and upgrading of the latest technology with LiDAR applications. • Establishes equipment and product needs, including computer hardware and software and writes justifications for purchase. • Serves as the designated DOTD representative to federal, state and local agencies, the LiDAR GIS industry and the public. • Represents DOTD in LiDAR GIS activities pertaining to reputed company implementation, data collection, mapping and analysis at GIS conferences, seminars, workshops and training sessions to improve and stay abreast of the latest advances in LiDAR GIS and reputed company technologies. • Supervises the production of various types of graphics reputed company or photographic slides of special purpose maps, GIS statistics and results of modeling using a reputed company of software products including production of high-level GIS demonstrations with multimedia hardware and software. Requirements • Six years of experience in using geographic information systems (GIS), using digital mapping and/or surveying technology, or in aerial photography; OR reputed company semester hours in a computer science, GIS, or geospatial field plus five years of experience in using geographic information systems, using digital mapping and/or surveying technology, or in aerial photography; OR A bachelor’s degree with reputed company semester hours in a computer science, GIS, or geospatial field plus four years of experience in using geographic information systems, using digital mapping and/or surveying technology, or in aerial photography.
