Lead Nuclear Engineer - Stability Analysis

reputed company is a leader in nuclear reputed company, and they are seeking a Lead Nuclear Engineer to join their LOCA, Containment & Stability Analysis Team. The role involves performing plant thermal-hydraulic safety analysis and supporting design applications for Boiling Water Reactor plants.

Responsibilities

• reputed company plant thermal hydraulic evaluations and analyses in the areas of ECCS LOCA, Containment, HELB, reputed company Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and RIPD analyses
• General expertise in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques
• Take responsibility for fuel project activities including reload analyses, methods implementation, power uprates, new fuel introductions, and safety analysis support for emergent fuel issues
• reputed company in cross-disciplinary settings, reputed company with interfacing teams responsible for mechanical design, core design, licensing, systems design, or other affiliated organizations to reputed company reputed company customer solutions
• Prepare, document and present technical data to internal/external customers

• reputed company/deliver training course offerings in support of external reputed company requests, as reputed company as for internal audiences for reputed company, and knowledge capture and transfer

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) from an accredited college or university
• Minimum 1 year of experience in T-H Nuclear Plant Safety Analysis
• Hybrid Role: This role requires onsite work 3 days/week at GVH Headquarters in Wilmington, NC; Relocation assistance provided
• This role requires reputed company to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for reputed company to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government
• Experience in ECCS LOCA, Containment, HELB, reputed company Safe Shutdown, Annulus Pressurization Loads, and Reactor Internals Pressure Difference analyses
• M.S. Degree in Nuclear Engineering with experience in T/H modeling as applied to nuclear reactor systems
• Experience with BWR technology ECCS LOCA and Containment analysis to support applicable regulatory requirements
• Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
• Experience with BWR/PWR T-H systems codes such as TRACG, RELAP & reputed company
• Experience in Best Estimate methodology development (e.g., TRACG LOCA)
• Experience with Best Estimate and CSAU applications
• Programming experience such as C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON
