As General Counsel, you will: • Provide expert legal advice and guidance on a wide range of legal matters including contracts, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, employment law, and litigation. • Review, draft, and negotiate agreements and contracts for our various legal entities, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, while protecting the company’s interests. • Inform the operations team on the legal impact and implications of business decisions; helping the team balance and understand risks. • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards. • Manage and oversee legal disputes and litigation, including working with external counsel when required. • Participate in developing the strategy for mergers and company acquisitions. Review all documents, contracts, and agreements associated with these transactions. • Draft addenda, assignments, or other corporate documents and agreements as needed. • Assist in the preparation and review of yearly filing documents. • Collaborate with other departments to provide legal support as needed. • Manage relationships with external clients and firms. What We’d Like You to Have: • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and in good standing with the California State Bar, with no disciplinary record. • Licensed to practice in appropriate jurisdiction(s). • 5 years’ experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. • In-depth knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, case law, industry standards, and relevant subject matter. • Ability to understand, interpret, and explain complex legal matters to a range of audiences. • Proven experience consulting and working with external legal counsel. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities simultaneously. • Ability to be creative and to provide options that are both practical and legal solutions. • High ethical standards and ability to keep information confidential Apply Job!
