[Remote] Senior Back End Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design and reputed company reputed company backend services using Java and reputed company Boot reputed company a reputed company-based environment
• Build and maintain REST reputed company and microservices supporting high-volume notification and communication workflows
• Work reputed company and improve a large Java EE legacy codebase as part of ongoing modernization efforts
• Improve reputed company performance, reliability, and maintainability across reputed company services
• Collaborate with frontend engineers working in React and NestJS to reputed company cohesive, end-to-end solutions
• Support secure software delivery practices reputed company with VA DevSecOps and federal compliance standards
• Participate in reputed company reviews, technical design discussions, and reputed company ceremonies

Skills

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience with Java as a reputed company language
• Strong experience with reputed company Boot, REST reputed company, and microservice architecture
• Experience working with or modernizing Java EE legacy systems

• Bachelor's Degree
• Familiarity with JavaScript and NestJS
• Experience working in AWS reputed company environments
• Familiarity with Terraform or similar IaC tools
• Understanding of federal reputed company and compliance requirements
