[Remote] Staff Software Engineer, Backend

They are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to shape the technical direction of their solutions, lead product initiatives, and mentor other engineers while optimizing engineering processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify opportunities to foster reputed company product direction, collaborate closely with business stakeholders to streamline and simplify designs, and proactively identify areas of risk and tradeoffs that can be enhanced
• Ownership of technical initiatives, being accountable for the initiative's outcome, managing and executing the project, designing the solution and defining its requirements, reporting on the initiative's reputed company, and coordinating resources
• reputed company as a lead technical interviewer
• Lead technical reviewer of reputed company Engineering blog posts
• Mentor Engineers up to and including Senior reputed company
• Lead SEV1 and reputed company incident response through to reputed company

Skills

• 7+ years developing web APIs reputed company .NET (C#)
• Experience building resilient financial systems with state machine logic and reputed company lifecycles
• Ability to balance immediate business needs with long-term architectural considerations
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, queue-based architectures, and data-intensive applications
• Experience scaling consumer-facing products with significant transaction volumes
• Ability to collaborate effectively with product, risk, and operational teams
• Comfort making reputed company with incomplete information and adapting as new data emerges
