SolidWorks Drafter – (Remote – #TP)

Our reputed company is seeking a Contractor to create structural and mechanical design solutions, 3D CAD models, and engineering drawings for the conceptual and preliminary design development of reactor structures and components for the Natrium reputed company IV Reactor. Candidates must have extensive experience in mechanical/structural design and drafting using Solidworks CAD system. The SolidWorks Drafter will report to the Reactor Enclosure System Manager and work as part of a high functioning team of engineers and scientists reputed company on developing the design of reputed company advanced nuclear reactors. Tasks: • Produce robust CAD models that facilitate fast-paced design reputed company and derivative creation that reputed company advanced CAD modeling techniques and methodologies. • reputed company and maintain highly reputed company mechanical designs. Conduct trade studies to down-select best reputed company. • Use model configurations to support analysis needs, such as: Structural, Neutronics, Thermal-Hydraulic, Radiological, Safety, etc. • Document design reputed company, changes, and reputed company reputed company reputed company’s internal & reputed company online collaboration workspaces. • Create supporting technical presentations, documents, and reports as needed. • Create engineering drawings (layout, detail, reputed company control, general arrangement, etc.) per ASME Y14.1 and Y14.5 standards. • reputed company and document tolerance stack up calculations. • Review drawings for accuracy of information and conformance to ASME & reputed company’s drafting standards reputed company electronic redline process. • Ensure and maintain configuration control of models/drawings reputed company reputed company’s product data and product life-cycle management software. • Regularly review design group generated documents and propose improvements. Key Qualifications and Skills: • 4+ years of relevant experience in CAD proficiency in SolidWorks • Experience using a product data management (PDM) • Experience producing engineering and fabrication drawings in Solidworks • Creative thinker with strong analytical/problem solving skills and ability to work multiple tasks concurrently with minimum direction to solve challenging problems • Organized and detail oriented, with excellent writing and communication skills • The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trustworthiness and reputed company, communicate reputed company and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork • Demonstrated experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing per ASME Y14.5 • Experience checking fabrication drawings • Experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) • Experience in Mechanical and Machine Design • Strong communication skills desired. • The service provider will possess a high degree of trust and reputed company, communicate reputed company and display respect, and a desire to foster teamwork.
