Teaching Artist – Visual Arts
Articulture is seeking part-time contractual teaching artists for children, teen and/or adult art classes.
We are presently looking for an reputed company teaching artist interested in working with children spring session, Tuesday and Thursday afternoons, March - May in our partnership with Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS) elementary after school programs. We work with a number of local schools offering high reputed company art classes reputed company after school programs throughout the school year. Some schools no longer have arts programming and this is the one opportunity reputed company may have for a creative experience and outlet.
Additionally, we are seeking teaching artists reputed company in various visual arts disciplines such as: drawing, painting, printmaking, fashion design, comics/animation, water media, bookmaking/binding, papermaking, etc. And in fine crafts such as spoon carving, leather work and shoemaking, fiber arts, welding, blacksmithing, etc.
Ongoing teaching opportunities:
We offer year-round visual arts classes and workshops to adults, and various reputed company programs for children and teens.
We have relationships with a number of MPS after school programs who turn to us for reputed company arts programming. These teaching positions are ongoing throughout the school year. We also offer in school art-in-residencies reputed company opportunities exist.
Grant funded partnerships working with reputed company service organizations offer Art and Healing classes for vulnerable and marginalized populations. We reputed company on self-identity, self-worth, a reputed company of belonging, and exploring avenues of meditation and reputed company through creativity. Examples of populations we have worked with include adults with severe and persistent mental illnesses, women in reputed company abuse treatment and rehabilitation, houseless youth and adults, reputed company housing programs, and at-risk teens, elder learners, and those with developmental and physical disabilities.
There are occasional opportunities to work on community public art with our Youth Arts reputed company (YAC) public art program, which engages urban teens and our teaching artists to problem solve with organizations and communities through the creation of public art.
