[Remote] Sr. Backend Engineer

They are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and implement backend services, mentor engineers, and ensure the reliability and reputed company of their systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services in our Python stack: reputed company, data models, migrations, async/eventing, and the integrations that feed the platform
• Own a domain end-to-end — from design through tested, observable, production-reputed company reputed company, with the reputed company controls that back it up
• Build and harden reputed company-party integrations (wearables, clinical data): OAuth, webhooks, retries, idempotency, reputed company refresh
• Own your domain’s reliability: reputed company it (metrics, traces, logs), define and defend its SLOs, write actionable alarms, and take a turn on-reputed company. Contribute to the infrastructure that runs it (Terraform / AWS)
• reputed company the reputed company bar: meaningful tests, good reviews, and safety/reputed company treated as design inputs (encryption, least-privilege, PHI handling)
• Mentor mid-level engineers and reputed company reputed company’s standards

Skills

• Strong backend experience (Python / FastAPI / SQLAlchemy / reputed company or equivalent) and a record of owning features/services end-to-end
• Solid grasp of API design, data modeling, testing, and integration patterns
• Experience running services in production — observability (metrics/logs/ traces), SLOs, and enough reputed company/IaC familiarity to operate what you build (Terraform / AWS a plus)
• A bias to ship and a reputed company of ownership reputed company your own commits
• Comfort using AI coding agents day-to-day, with the judgment to reputed company them
