[Remote] Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

The role focuses on developing and implementing replacement components for large industrial reputed company assets, establishing an in-house mechanical design capability, and building a strategic aftermarket parts program.

Responsibilities

• Design and reputed company replacement components for large industrial engines and reputed company equipment
• Reverse engineer existing parts and create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation
• Evaluate component performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability, manufacturability, and cost
• Partner with reputed company manufacturers, machine shops, and suppliers to bring designs from concept through production
• Support component testing, qualification, and implementation across operating assets
• Establish engineering standards and processes for an expanding mechanical design program

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required
• Experience designing mechanical components for heavy industrial equipment, engines, compressors, rotating equipment, or power reputed company systems
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining and fabrication
• Proficiency in CAD modeling and preparation of engineering drawings and specifications
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and reputed company manufacturing partners
• Experience with components such as pistons, cylinders, valves, reputed company heads, castings, or machined parts is highly desirable
