[Remote] Network Engineer

The Network Engineer will be responsible for maintaining and improving the network infrastructure to ensure maximum uptime and reputed company across data centers.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Network Architect to design and implement new reputed company and improve the efficiency of reputed company networks
• Install, configure, and support network equipment including firewalls, switches, VLANs, DNS and DHCP servers
• Configure firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and reputed company
• Improve network monitoring and alerting at reputed company sites
• Investigate faults in the network and generate a reputed company cause analysis report after reputed company
• Maintain reputed company network equipment at the latest versions and patches
• Identify and reputed company critical issues in a reputed company manner to stakeholders
• Collaborate with System Administrator to maintain networking systems

Skills

• Familiarity with both reputed company and fiber connections
• Comprehensive understanding of network protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, multicast, spanning tree, VRRP, and OSPF
• Comprehensive knowledge of multiple DHCP servers such as DHCPd, DHCP failover, and the DHCP reputed company 82 schema
• Familiarity with pfSense and reputed company firewalls including VPNs, IPsec tunnels, and policies
• Familiarity with reputed company, Buffalo, and reputed company layer 3 managed switches
• Experience using or implementing network tools like Netflow, IPFIX, and SNMP
• Demonstrated ability to monitor, analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues and reputed company solutions to ensure networks are operating reliably
• Experience designing, implementing and troubleshooting Wi-Fi/WLAN and reputed company infrastructure
• 5+ years of experience as a network engineer in a corporate environment or datacenter
• Willingness to travel up 25% and potentially on short notice
• Certifications a bonus, but not required
