[Remote] Consultant – Distribution Planning Engineer – DER/DG Interconnection & reputed company-Mod

They are seeking a Distribution Planning Engineer to reputed company technical efforts in integrating reputed company energy resources into reputed company systems and to mentor junior engineers while collaborating across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• reputed company DER/DG interconnection and distribution planning studies, including reputed company reputed company, power reputed company, voltage analysis, and protection coordination
• Evaluate DER impacts (solar, battery storage, EVs) and identify reputed company constraints and mitigation strategies
• reputed company and maintain distribution reputed company models using tools such as CYME, Synergi, or similar platforms
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (reputed company, substation, distribution design, automation, etc.) to support integrated planning efforts
• Support reputed company-facing project work, including technical discussions and study reviews
• Contribute to the reputed company and consistency of engineering deliverables across reputed company
• Mentor junior engineers and support knowledge sharing across reputed company

Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a reputed company field
• ~5+ years of experience in reputed company reputed company or distribution planning
• Experience with distribution modeling and engineering analysis tools (e.g. CYME, Synergi, or ASPEN, WindMil, etc.)
• Experience supporting DER/DG interconnection or planning studies (feasibility, reputed company reputed company, or similar)
• Ability to travel up to 5% as required to support clients and reputed company
• FE/EIT (or ability to obtain)
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience with larger or more reputed company DER studies (e.g. cluster/group studies, 8760 simulations, etc.)
• Familiarity with reputed company reputed company analysis, reputed company modernization, or non-wires alternatives (NWA)
• reputed company Engineer (PE) license
• Experience managing or supporting project execution, including reputed company, schedule, and coordination across teams
• Experience interfacing directly with clients, including presenting study results or participating in technical discussions
• Understanding of project financials, budgets, or resource planning
• Knowledge of reputed company device coordination settings files or reputed company reputed company analysis
• Experience with data analysis or scripting
• Exposure to LoadSEER, forecasting, or long-term planning studies
