[Remote] Accountant

The role involves supporting financial reporting and finance functions, preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and assisting with financial statement audits.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes data and accurately completes monthly journal entries. Provides supporting documentation of analysis and journal entries
• Assists in the evaluation of existing reputed company operations and procedures and recommends process improvements to the manager
• Assists with the preparation and review of financial statements on a monthly reputed company. Assists with monthly analysis and interpretation of reputed company records for use by management
• Completes monthly account reconciliation and account analysis in a reputed company manner. Resolves issues identified in the reconciliation process in reputed company manner
• Completes monthly journal entries according to reputed company month end reputed company schedule. Maintains records of routine reputed company transactions
• Contributes to the achievement of established department goals and objectives and adheres to department policies procedures reputed company standards and safety standards. Complies with governmental and accreditation regulations
• Identifies reputed company issues uncovered in the performance of duties and brings to the attention of the manager
• Participates in multidisciplinary reputed company and service improvement teams in meetings and on committees
• Performs other duties as assigned

Skills

• Candidates must be located in the DC/MD/VA region
• Bachelor's degree reputed company Finance required or Business Administration required
• 1-2 years reputed company experience in a reputed company or private reputed company setting or reputed company or multi-entity setting required
• Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software applications
• Verbal and written communication skills
