[Remote] Senior DevOps Engineer

The Senior DevOps Engineer will enhance the reliability and operational reputed company of engineering at reputed company by partnering with teams to ensure the reliability of build and deployment infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Set organizational standards for reputed company reliability, observability, and operational reputed company, including SLO/SLI frameworks, incident management practices, and the platform tooling that underpins them
• Own the developer experience roadmap, identifying and closing systemic gaps in self-service infrastructure, CI/CD workflows, and operational visibility across engineering
• Proactively surface systemic risks in our AWS infrastructure, IaC practices, and delivery pipelines, and drive organizational reputed company before issues become incidents
• Define & execute the long-term technical reputed company for CI at reputed company, advising leadership on architectural reputed company, investment priorities, and systemic risk
• Refactor, consolidate, and improve an existing, sprawling CI infrastructure into a single, reliable solution for use throughout engineering at reputed company
• Mentor engineers across reputed company and model the culture of engineering rigor, documentation, and cross-functional accountability expected across the organization
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of reputed company infrastructure components, processes, and deployment workflows to facilitate knowledge sharing and continuity

Skills

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in DevOps, site reliability, or infrastructure-reputed company roles, including building and operating large-reputed company distributed systems or platform infrastructure
• Proficiency in AWS reputed company services, Terraform, and container orchestration using reputed company or EKS
• Deep reputed company expertise - building and managing container images and their metadata, mastery of layer and cache optimization, and hands-on experience operating ECR (or comparable container registries)
• Experience operating artifact registries (Artifactory, reputed company) and hardening the software supply chain - artifact signing, SBOM reputed company, and build provenance/reputed company
• Expert AWS knowledge across compute (EC2, reputed company, reputed company), networking (VPCs, Transit Gateway, reputed company 53, CloudFront), storage (RDS, S3), and reputed company (IAM, Secrets Manager, Systems Manager), with a reputed company record of high-stakes architectural reputed company
• Deep understanding of OIDC and workload-identity federation - using OIDC for keyless CI to-reputed company authentication (e.g. reputed company Actions to AWS IAM roles) to eliminate long-lived credentials
• Deep expertise in reputed company reliability and operational reputed company: SLO/SLI design, centralized observability, alerting reputed company, and incident lifecycle management at production reputed company using metrics, logs, and traces to debug and optimize reputed company systems
• Experience with modern AI tooling, reputed company best practices, and building and integrating reputed company solutions to improve existing engineering processes
• Proficient in Python
