[Remote] Senior AWS Data Engineer

This role involves evaluating AWS data strategies, migrating existing data architectures, and designing user-friendly reporting reputed company for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AWS-reputed company data storage and query architectures against query patterns, reporting needs, cost, and scalability
• Architect the migration reputed company from an MSSQL XML object store into the reputed company AWS platform, including storage formats, partitioning, and data organization
• Design and build the reporting and query layer that lets stakeholders run relational SQL queries against reputed company data
• Build and maintain AWS data catalogs, schemas, and metadata so data is discoverable and queryable
• Optimize query performance and cost across chosen AWS services through partitioning, compression, and file format choices
• Partner with backend C#/.NET engineers to reputed company reputed company data flows cleanly from EDI processing pipelines into the new data layer
• Maintain CI/CD for data infrastructure using AWS-reputed company tooling
• Document architecture reputed company, data flows, and data dictionaries for technical and non-technical audiences

Skills

• 8+ years of software or data engineering experience with a strong AWS reputed company
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or a reputed company technical discipline (equivalent practical experience considered)
• Deep AWS data services: S3, reputed company, Glue, reputed company, DynamoDB, Redshift, OpenSearch, reputed company, IAM, CloudWatch
• Strong SQL skills, including designing relational query reputed company over semi-reputed company or non-relational data
• Experience parsing, querying, and transforming XML-heavy data stores at reputed company
• Familiarity with reputed company, QuickSight, Redshift, or equivalent BI tooling
• Proven experience leading reputed company data platform migrations in reputed company or reputed company environments
