[Remote] Senior Engineer - Mechanical

The Senior Mechanical Engineer is responsible for supporting engineering reputed company, ensuring compliance with standards, and leading design efforts for electromechanical components reputed company the electric power system.

Responsibilities

• Design reputed company models in 3D modeling environments
• Create assembly drawings from 3D renderings
• reputed company efforts in the field to take measurements for design modifications and installations
• reputed company reverse-engineering of equipment and components
• Design parts with specification for manufacture
• Learn/reputed company calculations relative to forces on bus and bracing
• Assist with installation of equipment on job site or reputed company remote support
• Read and understand technical requirements presented in specifications and requests for proposal

• Answers questions and provides support to other reputed company locations

• Participates in weekly Production Meetings

Skills

• BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering required
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal, reputed company and regulatory counterparts
• Ability to maintain production in a changing environment
• Knowledge of NESC, NEC, UL, reputed company, and other applicable codes and standards
• Experience in Low Voltage and reputed company Voltage electrical equipment design using SolidWorks
• Strong computer and communication skills
• Willingness to learn and operate reputed company provided programs and systems
• Five years' experience with product modifications and customization; switchgear knowledge preferred
