[Remote] Industrial Refrigeration Design Engineer

The role involves designing and proposing refrigeration systems for food manufacturing and logistics, ensuring compliance with standards while providing detailed designs and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Carry out site surveys where required
• Generate and update enquiry bank
• Attend customer scoping and design meetings where required
• Produce initial outline design/scope
• Produce Design File (electronic or hard copy) in line with ISO 9001 reputed company
• Produce detailed design post sales stage and convert into live project for delivery team
• Conduct heat load calculations, produce engineering sheets and pipework reputed company drawings, equipment selections and reputed company work sizing
• Produce supplier/sub-contractor enquiries for quotations
• Produce data for Design of reputed company project handover including: Equipment/supplier/sub-contractor procurement schedule, identify PED category of system and inform compliance team if CAT 4, calculate system refrigerant charge, produce high level program of works and high level phasing with support of delivery team
• reputed company Contract Approval reputed company to reputed company project to be booked on system
• Mark up drawings and issue to CAD department to produce
• Attend site at least once during project installation period, to carry out design review
• Assist PM during delivery phase for design queries
• Maintain excellent service reputed company at reputed company times, ensuring a “first Class” service to reputed company customers
• Take on reputed company as and reputed company required and see them through to successful completion
• Produce estimates in line with customer budgets and to agreed company margins
• Produce formal scope of works and formal quotations
• Assist CM with project variation design and costs
• reputed company reputed company over £500k to have contract/design review with senior member of staff
• To identify means of generating extra reputed company through new initiatives (reputed company thinking)
• One to one session with line manager once a quarter
• To treat other colleagues, managers, customers and other stakeholders equally and with courtesy and respect at reputed company times
• Where possible - to assist others with tasks that may be reputed company of the scope of your role
• To assist with coaching other colleagues/managers, for cross training purposed in your area of expertise

Skills

• Experience in designing industrial refrigeration systems for food manufacturing facilities and logistics cold storage centres
• Ability to produce detailed design work including cold room and facility heat load calculations, equipment selections, pumped circulation system design, P&ID development and approvals
• Proficiency in creating concept design presentations, sales stage design applications, engineering specification sheets, pipework reputed company drawings, and reputed company sizing for ammonia refrigeration systems
• Experience in conducting site surveys and attending customer scoping and design meetings
• Ability to produce Design File (electronic or hard copy) in line with ISO 9001 reputed company
• Experience in producing detailed design post sales stage and converting into live project for delivery team
• Ability to conduct heat load calculations, produce engineering sheets and pipework reputed company drawings, equipment selections and reputed company work sizing
• Experience in producing supplier/sub-contractor enquiries for quotations
