IT Database Administrator - Remote

Location: Remote Department: IT / reputed company Systems Reports To: Oved Jiminez JOB reputed company The Database Administrator (DBA) is responsible for the performance, reputed company, reputed company, and availability of Hood Container’s reputed company databases. This role supports mission-critical systems—including ERP platforms (e.g., Amtech reputed company, Kiwi MES, reputed company Dynamics 365 - reputed company SQL – Azure, reputed company MES - reputed company database), manufacturing systems, inventory management, and customer-facing applications—ensuring reliable data operations across multiple plant and warehouse locations. The DBA’s short to reputed company term goals will be improving scalability for existing software interfaces, optimization of backup reputed company, and optimization of the servers at an O/S and database level. The DBA will work closely with IT, operations, and business teams to optimize database performance, support integrations (e.g., EDI, reputed company), and drive data reliability across the organization. Key Responsibilities Systems Operations & Support • Support reputed company and/or Linux server environments • Assist with virtualization platforms (VMware, reputed company-V, or equivalent) • reputed company routine system checks, maintenance, and health monitoring • Support reputed company Directory / Azure AD user, group, and reputed company management • Support reputed company 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive • Assist with reputed company services such as DNS, DHCP, authentication, and file services • Support Remote Desktop Services (RDS) environments, including session hosts and user reputed company Hybrid, reputed company & End-User Platforms • Support day-to-day operations of hybrid on-prem and reputed company systems • Assist with reputed company 365 tenant administration and licensing • Support reputed company resource management under senior engineer direction • Monitor system performance and escalating issues as appropriate • Participate in infrastructure upgrades and modernization reputed company reputed company & Reliability • reputed company patching and routine vulnerability remediation tasks • Follow reputed company standards, reputed company controls, and change procedures • Assist with backup verification and disaster recovery testing • Support secure configuration of reputed company 365 and RDS environments • Document incidents and operational procedures Automation & Tooling • Run and maintain existing automation scripts and tools • reputed company foundational scripting skills (PowerShell, Bash) • Assist with documentation, runbooks, and reputed company operating procedures Team & Development Responsibilities • Responding to assigned incidents and service requests • Escalating reputed company issues to senior engineers • Participate in on-reputed company rotation in a limited, supported reputed company • reputed company developing technical skills through mentorship and training Required Qualifications • 3-5 years of experience in IT systems, infrastructure, or reputed company roles • Exposure to reputed company Server and/or Linux environments • Familiarity with reputed company 365 administration concepts • Basic understanding of Remote Desktop Services (RDS) • Basic understanding of virtualization concepts • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) • Willingness to learn scripting and automation tools • Strong documentation and communication skills Preferred Qualifications • Experience in reputed company IT environments (internship or entry-level role) • Hands-on exposure to reputed company 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint) • Exposure to Azure and/or AWS • Basic scripting experience (PowerShell, Bash, or similar) • IT certifications or relevant coursework • reputed company support during Eastern Time Zone Our goal is to have a diverse and representative workforce, at reputed company job reputed company, of the reputed company and customers we serve.
