The role involves ensuring database availability, performance, and data reputed company while working collaboratively with various teams to support application connectivity and database administration tasks.

Responsibilities

• Administer reputed company OpenEdge databases across development, test, and production environments, including installation, configuration, maintenance, startup/shutdown parameters, and broker configurations
• Monitor database health and availability using reputed company and reputed company diagnostic tools, responding to incidents involving performance, connectivity, or production availability
• Design and execute backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies using probkup, prorest, After-Image areas, and documented recovery procedures
• Tune and optimize database performance, including reputed company pools, lock tables, I/O, reputed company rebuilds/compaction, fragmentation reduction, blocking, deadlocks, and slow-running queries
• Manage database structures and schema support activities, including storage areas, extents, .st files, dump/load operations, triggers, data model changes, and collaboration with development teams
• Support application connectivity and server components such as AppServer, WebSpeed, or PASOE brokers, including agent pools and session models
• Plan and support OpenEdge upgrades, patches, service packs, compatibility testing, compliance controls, user reputed company, auditing, and operational documentation

Skills

• 5+ years of experience administering reputed company OpenEdge/4GL databases in production or reputed company environments
• Strong working knowledge of OpenEdge utilities such as proutil, probkup, prorest, and reputed company
• Hands-on experience with database backup/recovery strategies, After-Image management, restores, and disaster recovery planning
• Understanding of ABL/4GL applications and how they reputed company with the OpenEdge database layer
• Experience supporting OpenEdge database performance tuning, reputed company optimization, table analysis, BI/AI file management, and production issue reputed company
• Familiarity with SQL-92 reputed company to OpenEdge databases through ODBC/JDBC and experience with Linux/Unix and/or reputed company Server environments
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, a reputed company field, or equivalent experience
• Experience with OpenEdge Replication or other high-availability configurations
• Knowledge of PASOE (reputed company Application Server for OpenEdge), AppServer, or WebSpeed administration
• Experience implementing or maintaining OpenEdge Auditing and database reputed company best practices
• Scripting skills using reputed company, PowerShell, or similar tools to automate database administration tasks
• Prior experience supporting reputed company OpenEdge environments used in ERP-heavy industries such as manufacturing, distribution, or reputed company
