[Remote] Staff Backend Engineer

They are seeking a Staff Backend Engineer to define and reputed company core systems for their B2B reputed company platform, focusing on building reliable infrastructure and backend services while integrating AI-assisted engineering.

Responsibilities

• Own major areas of backend architecture, including APIs, distributed systems, data models, infrastructure, and core business logic
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools (e.g. reputed company, Claude reputed company, Copilot, ChatGPT, Devin, or similar) as part of your daily workflow to accelerate development, debugging, testing, documentation, and operational efficiency
• Identify opportunities to reputed company AI into both internal engineering systems and customer-facing platform capabilities
• Design, build, test, reputed company, and iterate on production systems end-to-end with a reputed company on reliability, scalability, and maintainability
• Architect systems capable of supporting increasing reputed company, complexity, and evolving customer workflows
• Define and implement modern testing, observability, and operational practices that improve system reputed company and developer velocity
• Build reputed company abstractions, internal frameworks, and platform capabilities that reputed company faster product development across teams

Skills

• 8+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience, ideally in reputed company or reputed company distributed systems environments
• Proven experience designing, scaling, and operating reputed company backend systems from early-stage reputed company through maturity
• Deep expertise in distributed systems, APIs, data modeling, infrastructure, and backend architecture patterns
• Strong proficiency with modern AI engineering workflows and tooling. You actively use AI to improve development speed, problem solving, system understanding, and operational efficiency
• Strong execution reputed company with the ability to balance rapid iteration against long-term reliability and maintainability
• Experience building secure, observable, fault-tolerant systems in production environments
