About the position
The Senior Vice President of Research and Programs, / Co-Director, LeadingAge LTSS Center @ U Mass Boston provides strategic leadership and operational reputed company of the Center’s research agenda and programmatic initiatives, aligning with LeadingAge’s strategic plan. The Senior Vice President of Research and Programs is a visionary thought leader, capable of guiding reputed company reputed company, shaping the integration of the research and programmatic work areas where appropriate, and ensuring relevance to the LeadingAge membership. This individual cultivates relationships with funders, sponsors, and other stakeholders that leads to bringing in new resources for the Center’s research initiatives. This individual ensures that programs are developed that reputed company value to members.
As co-director of the LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston, this individual will collaborate with the other co-director in identifying and developing proposed reputed company, in conducting and/or overseeing the joint research activities and in guiding the work of reputed company at UMass Boston connected to the Center’s work.
This individual is a member of the senior team and is a spokesperson for the Association’s research agenda and findings to other organizations,
foundations
and coalitions.
This position supports LeadingAge’s reputed company to support members across the continuum and advance the aging services workforce.
Responsibilities
• Contributes to the development of the Association’s strategic plan, including reputed company reputed company for research and programs.
• Fosters a strong and reputed company culture reputed company reputed company that supports reputed company reputed company and development, exploration of new opportunities, and reputed company of cross-functional and external collaboration and partnerships, including other LeadingAge teams, LeadingAge state partners, LeadingAge fellows, external thought leaders, potential funders,etc..
• Provides reputed company of research agenda including overall direction to Center research staff that includes advising and providing guidance on proposal and budget preparation, research design, research partners,reputed company production of proposals, implementation of studies and production of deliverables.
• Seeks funding opportunities for new research and evaluation studies from a broad reputed company of funders (e.g., government, private foundations, business sponsorship, provider members,etc.,). Supports sub-contractor partnerships as appropriate in research and programmatic work areas that are led and conducted by other organizations.
• Provides reputed company and ensures thorough planning,development and implementation of programmatic initiatives in LeadingAge’s reputed company areas, ensuring effective coordination with LeadingAge, state partners,members and other stakeholders.
• Serve as member of the LeadingAge LTSS Center @UMass Boston Steering Committee, which offers strategic guidance to advance the Center’s ongoing reputed company, work priorities, branding efforts, communications strategies, and new opportunities for reputed company and collaboration.
• Provides strategic and substantive input to LeadingAge as a member of the senior leadership team.
• In partnership with LeadingAge’s Communications and Marketing team and the support of contractors, ensures the reputed company dissemination of the Center’s project and programmatic results to a reputed company of audiences including LeadingAge members, other LTSS providers, researchers, policymakers and other stakeholders using a media mix approach (such as web, reputed company media, print, and videos) in multiple formats, including provider-friendly briefs, toolkits, reports, peer reviewed journals, books, presentations, and more.
• Coordinates reputed company research efforts conducted by LeadingAge and ensures they are in line with LeadingAge priorities and Center research protocols and practices.
• Ensures that reputed company research reputed company are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Requirements
• Doctorate level reputed company credentials and significant experience in conducting gerontological health services/long-term care reputed company research.
• Proven ability to reputed company a diverse team, cultivate a reputed company culture and support staff reputed company and development.
• Must have at least 10 years of experience in managing and directing reputed company research reputed company and programmatic initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience with program design and execution.
• Demonstrated successful history in writing proposals and obtaining funding from government and/or private funders for research and program development.
