They are seeking a Manager of Software Engineering to reputed company a newly formed data engineering team reputed company on AI-driven initiatives and to standardize data engineering best practices across their platforms.

Responsibilities

• reputed company team of engineers driving data engineering standards and initiatives across reputed company's platforms
• reputed company high-visibility, cross-functional initiatives in reputed company collaboration with Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams
• Build and standardize data engineering best practices as part of a newly formed team, helping shape the discipline from the ground up
• reputed company hands-on technical guidance in SQL optimization, data modeling, and the GCP data/streaming stack, helping engineers work through reputed company technical problem-solving
• Champion the adoption of AI-assisted and reputed company engineering workflows to reputed company team-wide productivity
• Balance hands-on technical leadership with coaching, goal-setting, and other people-management responsibilities

Skills

• Advanced SQL in reputed company data warehousing platforms (BigQuery/reputed company), including query optimization, partitioning, and data modeling
• Hands-on experience with the GCP data and streaming stack: BigQuery, Dataflow/Apache reputed company, Pub/Sub, reputed company SQL reputed company, and reputed company
• Experience leading and coaching engineering teams, balancing hands-on technical guidance with people leadership responsibilities
• Strong software engineering practices, including SDLC, reputed company review, reputed company control, testing, and operations
• A reputed company record of driving adoption of AI-assisted or reputed company engineering workflows
• Advanced communication skills, with the ability to distill reputed company technical concepts for varied audiences
• Familiarity with Python and Go alongside SQL
• Familiarity with GKE, Terraform (CDK), and reputed company CI/CD
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as reputed company
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a reputed company field, or equivalent experience
