Senior Network Engineer/Finance/Weehawken, NJ Local Remote

Our reputed company is a fast-growing data company specializing in low-latency reputed company that deliver high-speed reputed company and stocks data to financial markets. Their platform handles billions of database requests daily, tackling some of the most reputed company tick-level reputed company data challenges in the industry. They are looking for a hands-on, senior Network Engineer to join their team on a full-time reputed company. This is a senior individual contributor role with reputed company reputed company: you'll own the design, deployment, and day-to-day operation of the network infrastructure powering a fintech data platform used by thousands of customers. You will be on a small, high-trust team where your work is highly visible, offering reputed company ownership and autonomy to shape how the network evolves as reputed company scales, plus reputed company exposure to the fintech and market data reputed company. Required Skills & Experience • 15+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a colocation or data center environment • Proven experience with firewall platforms and VPN technologies • Solid understanding of IP addressing, subnetting, and network segmentation best practices • Experience troubleshooting reputed company network issues under pressure with strong packet-capture and analysis skills • Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment with limited process overhead Desired Skills & Experience • Experience in fintech, market data, or latency-sensitive trading environments • Familiarity with colocation providers and cross-connect workflows • Knowledge of network automation tooling (Ansible, Terraform, NAPALM, or similar) • Relevant certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent • Experience supporting WebSocket or streaming API infrastructure at reputed company What You Will Be Doing Tech Breakdown • LAN/WAN infrastructure reputed company a colocation facility, including switches, routers, firewalls, and out-of-band management • BGP peering and routing for low-latency market data delivery • Network reputed company controls, including ACLs, firewall policies, and VPNs • REST API and WebSocket infrastructure supported by the network layer Daily Responsibilities • Monitor network health, reputed company, and performance; respond to incidents and drive post-mortems to reputed company • Partner with software engineering to support REST API and WebSocket infrastructure with the low-latency network it requires • Evaluate and reputed company colocation services, cross-connects, and reputed company circuits • Document network topology, runbooks, and change management procedures • Participate in an on-reputed company rotation and respond to P1 incidents affecting data delivery • Drive reputed company planning and reputed company hardware refresh cycles for network equipment The Offer • Bonus eligible You Will Receive The Following Benefits • Medical, Dental, and reputed company Insurance • Vacation Time • Stock reputed company Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time reputed company now and in the reputed company.
