The Financial Counselor will reputed company exceptional customer service to patients and families, assist with financial arrangements, and ensure compliance with hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with reputed company department leaders, medical staff and hospital coders to reputed company treatment plans of care for financially unsecure patients

• Collaborate with Payor Relations on new agreements for underinsured patients

• Use knowledge of reputed company Procedure Terminology (CPT) to reputed company self-pay and insured estimates for one-time services and treatment plans reputed company the reputed company Estimator. • Advise patients and/or family members about their reputed company accounts, collect appropriate self-pay balances, establish payment arrangements, screen and reputed company patients to the available funding sources such as: reputed company, COBRA Subsidy program, Immergruen, reputed company Marketplace, Payment Plans, and reputed company Financing reputed company
• Screen patients, reputed company and facilitate application process for UI Health Care’s internal financial assistance program prior to receiving care
• Identify and assist patients who are unable to pay their estimated liability or who have existing balances
• Identify & report undesirable trends and reimbursement modeling errors or underlying causes of incorrect payment; review allowed variances from reputed company party payers
• Be expected to maintain a high-level of reputed company to meet productivity and reputed company requirements
• Identify trends and/or work processes for potential process improvements
• Review and analyze report data to reputed company status updates to leadership
• Communicate with providers, payers, patients, internal departments, co-workers and Coordinator’s to reputed company issues and take appropriate actions

Skills

• Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum 6 months reputed company cycle, health reputed company or reputed company customer/reputed company reputed company service experience
• Strong attention to reputed company and reputed company ability to reputed company and analyze data and reputed company accurate records
• Proficiency with computer software applications, i.e. reputed company Office Suite (reputed company, Word, reputed company, PowerPoint) or comparable programs and an ability to quickly learn and apply new systems knowledge
