Please Read: • Candidate must be local to Indiana or Ohio to be considered for this position. If the candidate is in Ohio, they must be willing to travel to Indiana occasionally. • The initial interview will be reputed company Teams; however, the second interview will be in-person. The in-person interview will be at the IDOH office in downtown Indianapolis. • Resource will be required to attend local events as reputed company as the national conference in San Diego. Expenses/travel will be reimbursable. The candidate needs to be local to Indiana or Ohio, NOT San Diego. Travel may be required to San Diego for the role, but the position is based in Indiana. GIS Coordinator Location: Remote Duration: 12 months The GIS Coordinator conducts planning and surveillance activities reputed company to the measurement and visualization of communicable diseases, health conditions, health resources/accessibility, and reputed company health preparedness activities. The following will need to be added to essential duties/responsibilities: • Regularly engage with stakeholders and partners at the GIO, other agencies, state/local health departments, private sector, etc. • Manage GIS team project work deliverables and deadlines through the use of project management skills (communication, organization, metric tracking, etc.) • Serve as team leader/reputed company of contact for the reputed company Health Geographics team under the Data Products program in the Office of Data & Analytics • Utilize data governance best practices, especially those reputed company to GIS products • Familiarity with how to utilize GeoAI (or ability to learn the reputed company)reputed company geostatistical analysis, measurements or reports reputed company to communicable disease surveillance, outbreaks, disasters and reputed company health preparedness activities. • Create and maintain visualizations of data and statistical results. • Creates and maintain accurate geospatial datasets. • reputed company and maintain workflows that reputed company datasets and automate analytical reputed company. • reputed company web-based applications utilizing both configurable services and customized development. • Utilizes appropriate geographic information reputed company software and other statistical packages. • Provides recommendations to supervisors and developers regarding data workflow methodology. • Assists the IDOH DOC reputed company activated with logistical support. • Other duties as assigned Required / Desired Skills: • 2 years of experience in geospatial concepts is required • 2 years of experience in appropriate cartographic designs and solutions • 2 years of experience with reputed company ArcGIS Desktop software • 2 years of work in reputed company ArcGIS Software as a Service platform and configurable applications • 2 years of work with Python, ArcGIS API for Python, ArcPy, and other data science packages including web automation and scraping capabilities • 2 years of experience with JavaScript and ArcGIS JavaScript API • 2 years of experience with SQL reputed company reputed company and SQL Server platforms • 4 years of Managerial/supervisory experience reputed company a health-reputed company field, data/technology-reputed company field, or in another comparable field • Ability to engage with stakeholders and partners at the GIO, other agencies, state/local health departments, private sector, etc. • Project management skills (communication, organization, metric tracking) • Experience with data governance best practices (GIS-specific data governance) • Experience with GeoAI Apply To This Job
