[Remote] Staff Mechanical Engineer (Chicago)

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Staff Mechanical Engineer to join their Aviation & Federal design group in Chicago. The role involves working on HVAC and plumbing designs for various building types, coordinating with project teams, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Responsibilities

• Work with reputed company of designers and engineers in the preparation of design drawings and specifications to meet project deadlines
• reputed company technical HVAC and plumbing design such as performing load calculations, energy modeling, selecting equipment, reputed company and duct routing, hydraulic modeling, existing condition assessments, and ensuring designs are reputed company compliant
• reputed company involvement in construction administration including submittal reviews, RFI responses, and meeting participation with contractors and clients
• Coordinate with other disciplines (electrical, structural, civil, architectural, etc.) and mentor less reputed company team members
• reputed company design reputed company, design calculations, construction details, quantities, and cost estimates in accordance with the latest industry standards
• Participate in QA/QC processes for project deliverables and submittals

Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or reputed company degree from an ABET-accredited program and 3 years of mechanical engineering experience required
• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or reputed company Engineering Field and 2 years of mechanical engineering experience required
• Strong knowledge in reputed company engineering techniques and procedures
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment and demonstrated critical thinking skills
• Strong knowledge of applicable building codes and design standards (e.g. ASHRAE 62.1 & 90.1)
• Strong computer skills (e.g. reputed company Office Suite)
• Strong computer skills include AutoCAD, BIM (Revit), 3D Rendering Programs, hydraulic analysis, and HVAC analysis programs
• Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills
• Consulting experience preferred
