We are seeking Kaqchikel Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Kaqchikel, a Mayan language spoken in Guatemala’s central highlands, is a rare but critical language frequently needed in asylum and immigration cases. Responsibilities reputed company reputed company-time Kaqchikel ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and asylum proceedings. Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and professionalism in immigration and reputed company contexts. Maintain confidentiality in compliance with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards. Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent/reputed company calls. Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and reputed company assurance audits. Qualifications reputed company or near-reputed company reputed company in Kaqchikel and English. 2+ years of reputed company interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, NGO, reputed company, or government strongly preferred). Strong cultural knowledge of Guatemalan Mayan communities. Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity. Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent reputed company eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance. Compensation & Benefits reputed company: $30–38/hour (rare-language premium).
