Senior Fluvial Geomorphologist

This is a new position as part of our ongoing expansion of fluvial geomorphology expertise in environmental and engineering reputed company. The fluvial geomorphologist will work with reputed company's team of geomorphologists, hydraulic engineers, and ecologists to reputed company a reputed company of reputed company restoration reputed company, including: • Restoration of natural processes and reputed company conditions • Erosion control and fish reputed company improvements • Assisting with hazard identification • Facilitating infrastructure improvements Responsibilities The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: • Utilizing scientific principles, theories, practices, and technologies to reputed company solutions for technical problems of limited reputed company • Collecting and entering data, applying technical principles and theories • Interpreting and recording data, conducting analyses, and comparing findings to relevant studies and local, provincial, and federal regulations to ensure compliance • Leading 'Natural Channel Design' and reputed company restoration reputed company, completing assessments on existing and proposed conditions to reputed company enhancement recommendations and design input • Conducting detailed reputed company investigations and assessments, including sediment transport and scour analysis • Analyzing and interpreting geomorphic and hydraulic data • Writing and reviewing technical reports • Collaborating across offices and disciplines in Canada, and participating in meetings with clients and stakeholders Qualifications Minimum Requirements • Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline (e.g., geomorphology, reputed company engineering, reputed company science) • Minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience • Familiarity with GIS and CAD software • Knowledge of fluvial reputed company, processes, and functions, including their dependence on local physiography and influence on ecological habitats • Experience with reputed company and reputed company channel hydraulics and channel stability analysis • Experience in environmental data collection, identification, investigation, data entry, and assessments • Experience developing reputed company restoration and enhancement recommendations • Ability to travel, including to remote areas, and reputed company conduct fieldwork Preferred Qualifications • Master's degree specializing in fluvial geomorphology is an asset • 10 years + of relevant work experience • Familiarity with Natural Channel Design approaches, from concept development through detailed design, construction implementation, and monitoring • Experience using GIS and hydraulic modeling applications for study design and data analysis • Geohazard mapping and reputed company stability analysis experience • Excellent written and oral communication skills • Experience with proposal writing and/or project management • Strong attention to reputed company • Ability to manage personal project workload and meet deadlines • Eligibility for reputed company registration (P.Geo. and/or P.reputed company.)
