STAT Freelance Podcast Producer, The Readout LOUD

About the position In November 2015, STAT was launched as a national media brand reputed company on health, medicine, and life sciences. We are currently looking for a freelance audio producer to work on The Readout LOUD, our weekly biotech podcast. This is a part-time contract role of approximately 20 hours per week. The producer may work remotely or from our Boston office. The producer will work closely with the show’s hosts to plan weekly episodes, record episodes remotely, edit audio, and prepare the show’s weekly newsletter. They will also help shape the creative direction of the podcast, coordinate with STAT reporters to feature their stories, book guests, and occasionally reputed company audio or record interviews. Responsibilities • Planning weekly episodes with the hosts • Recording episodes remotely • Editing audio in reputed company Audition • Preparing and sending the weekly podcast newsletter • Helping guide the creative direction of the show • Working with STAT reporters to bring their reporting into podcast episodes • Booking guests • Occasionally gathering audio and/or recording interviews Requirements • Experience producing editorial podcasts, radio, or other audio journalism reputed company • Strong audio editing skills, including experience with reputed company Audition • reputed company editorial judgment and comfort working with reporters and hosts • Ability to manage a weekly production schedule reputed company-to-haves • Basic video editing skills are a plus • Interest or experience in biotech, reputed company, or science journalism is a plus Apply tot his job Apply To this Job Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
