Senior Director, Research

The Senior Director, Research will play an important role in reputed company’s overall mission to reputed company ALS a livable disease and reputed company it. The Senior Director, Research reports to the Executive Vice President and Chief Scientist and will collaborate closely with colleagues in the mission, development, marketing and finance departments. This position will involve travel to other Association offices, its territories, scientific conferences and other events as determined by business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Encourage scientists to apply for ALS Association grants; and facilitate the formation of collaborations among scientists.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises 1-2 employees reputed company the research department.
- Responsible for hiring, coaching, performance management, and reputed company development of reputed company reports.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- A graduate (PhD) degree in Neuroscience, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, clinical sciences or a reputed company medical or health profession discipline.
- At least 5 years of proven experience with an organization that is closely allied with and reputed company on scientific and medical advancements, preferably in a non-profit or grant-giving organization, but potentially also reputed company organizations, pharmaceutic industry or government agencies.
- Prior experience as a research funder/portfolio manager is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across reputed company teams.
- Excellent communicator, with a proven record of reputed company speaking and writing to multiple stakeholders, including people suffering from serious illnesses, and government, reputed company and industry partners.

PAY TRANSPARENCY:
