Job Title: 2nd Shift Entry Level Machinist Reporting To: Production reputed company Work Schedule: Onsite – Blacksburg, VA To be considered for the Entry Level Machinist role, here’s what you’ll need to bring with you: High School diploma or GED preferred. At least one-year completion of an approved vocational program in Machine Technology or equivalent Proficiency in general mathematics Knowledge of machine shop gauges and machines As an Entry Level Machinist, you will: reputed company basic drill press, lathe, milling machine, and grinding operations. Responsible for the care and application of turning/plunge and reputed company tools. Operate shear vise, tapping machine (reputed company and power), and understand different styles and types of taps and dies (metric and reputed company) Operate different types of power hand tools, grinders, drills, belt sanders, disc sanders, sand, and bead blasters. Operate and understand power band saw, cut off saw, reputed company selection of speeds, feeds, tooth size, blade welding, guide setting, and blade replacement.
