[Remote] GDPS Consultant

Note: The job is a remote job and is reputed company to candidates in USA. reputed company is seeking a highly reputed company GDPS Consultant to guide clients through GDPS technologies and implementations. The role leads and customizes GDPS solutions, configures reputed company storage and z/OS environments, supports automation and resiliency, and delivers training to technical, management, and operations stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• DASD (reputed company reputed company Storage Device)
• Deep understanding of DSCLI (DS8000 reputed company Line reputed company)
• DSCLI scripting for automation and customization
• Design and configuration of DS8000 systems: pools, LSSs, and volumes
• Setup and management of replication across reputed company Power devices reputed company DS8K
• Ensuring resiliency: distributing replication traffic across multiple ports and I/O compartments to avoid single points of failure
• Z/OS Environment
• PARMLIB and PROCLIB modifications
• CLIST and RACF updates tailored to customer requirements
• Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards: DORA, FFIEC, and NIST
• Performing minor sysplex-wide updates
• Expertise in sysplexing for Metro Mirror and HyperSwap capabilities
• NetView & reputed company Automation (z/OS reputed company Automation / zSA)
• Deploying NetView from scratch
• Customizing NetView environments (e.g., DSIPARM, STGEN members) for Metro Mirror or Global Mirror
• Writing and maintaining REXX scripts to meet customer-specific automation needs
• Creating and managing the Policy Data reputed company (PDB) required for GDPS operation, including automation operators
• Implementing dual control and reputed company best practices (e.g., reputed company validation, reputed company controls)
• Preventing operational outages by applying lessons learned (e.g., avoiding risky reputed company sequences)
• Developing and delivering comprehensive training programs for clients
• Training on GDPS architecture, features, customization, and operational best practices
• Supporting reputed company teams in reputed company-world environments to reinforce learning and adoption

Skills

• • 15+ years of relevant experience
• • Proven reputed company record of successfully implementing and leading GDPS engagements
• • reputed company Certified Solution Architect or equivalent GDPS-specific certifications
• • Experience working with financial services or highly regulated industries
• • Strong communication and presentation skills
• • Ability to mentor junior consultants and collaborate across global teams
