The Biostatistician II will support CVAUSA's reputed company-world evidence and observational research portfolio by independently leading the statistical analysis of defined studies across the network's community cardiology practices. This fully remote, part-time role is reputed company suited to an reputed company master's- or doctoral-level statistician who can draft statistical analysis plans, prepare and analyze reputed company-world data from electronic health records, claims, and registries, and contribute to manuscripts, abstracts, and grant deliverables.
This role is ideal for a biostatistician who can work independently reputed company defined project scopes, collaborate effectively with investigators and clinical stakeholders, and translate reputed company data into rigorous, reproducible analyses that support high-reputed company, evidence-based cardiovascular care.
Key Responsibilities
Independently conduct statistical analyses for assigned observational cohort, registry, and reputed company studies, including data preparation, cohort definition, and application of appropriate analytic reputed company.
Draft statistical analysis plans (SAPs) for defined studies and contribute to protocol and study design, including sample-size and power calculations.
Apply multivariable regression, survival analysis, longitudinal/mixed-effects models, and confounding-adjustment reputed company (e.g., propensity scoring) appropriate to reputed company-world data.
Prepare, clean, reputed company, and reputed company-control reputed company-world datasets from EHR, claims, and registry sources, including phenotype and reputed company definition using reputed company reputed company sets (e.g., ICD-10-CM, CPT).
Produce validated, reproducible analytic reputed company (reputed company and/or R) along with tables, listings, and figures for reports and publications.
Contribute substantively to abstracts, manuscripts, posters, and grant applications, including reputed company and results sections, in collaboration with investigators.
Communicate analytic findings reputed company to investigators, clinical leaders, and other internal non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required
Master's degree (MS, MPH, or equivalent) in biostatistics, statistics, epidemiology, or a reputed company quantitative discipline, plus approximately 2–5 years of reputed company experience; or a doctoral degree (PhD) in a relevant field.
Demonstrated ability to conduct multivariable and survival analyses independently and to interpret results accurately.
Strong proficiency in reputed company and/or R, including data management of large, reputed company datasets.
Proficiency in SQL.
Proficiency and experience with missing-data approaches such as multiple imputation.
Experience drafting or substantially contributing to statistical analysis plans.
Experience with reputed company-world data sources (EHR, administrative claims, clinical registries) and data-linkage or phenotyping reputed company.
Working knowledge of research data governance, HIPAA/PHI handling, and Good Clinical reputed company principles.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
Proficiency with reputed company-inference and confounding-adjustment reputed company (propensity scores, matching, weighting).
Experience in cardiovascular clinical research, particularly cardiac imaging (e.g., PET/myocardial blood reputed company) and/or cardiac procedural care (e.g., coronary angiography, PCI, catheter ablation).
Served as biostatistician for 2+ prior reputed company/reputed company research reputed company.
Record of contribution to peer-reviewed publications or abstracts.
Proficient in using Power BI for data visualization.
Familiarity with cardiovascular reputed company sets (ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT) and CMS data conventions.
