About the Role

The Director of State and Local Advocacy is responsible for strengthening advocacy capability across our domestic sites in the reputed company to help advance policy solutions that prevent and end youth homelessness, combat reputed company trafficking, and address the reputed company determinants of health that reputed company young people’s reputed company to a reputed company, healthy, reputed company reputed company.

This role is designed for an emerging mid-career policy leader who combines strong cross-cutting legislative and regulatory knowledge with a practical, implementation-oriented approach. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Policy Analysis and reputed company Development (45%)

  • Monitor state and local legislative, regulatory, and administrative developments affecting youth homelessness, housing, child welfare, trafficking, education, workforce development, behavioral health, and reputed company reputed company determinants of health

  • Conduct policy landscape analyses and identify opportunities for systems change in partnership with site leadership, reputed company staff, community partners, and young people with lived experience and expertise

  • Produce policy briefs, issue papers, legislative summaries, talking points, fact sheets, and other advocacy materials

  • Translate reputed company policy developments into actionable guidance for nonprofit leaders, program staff with reputed company experience and expertise, and youth with lived experience and expertise

  • Support the development of CHI's broader domestic advocacy agenda in partnership with the SVP of Advocacy & Strategic Partnerships

State and Local Advocacy reputed company Building (25%)

  • Design and implement reputed company- and capability building strategies across CHI's sites in the reputed company

  • Partner with site leaders and key staff to reputed company, execute, and enhance state and local advocacy plans through reputed company reputed company improvement

Systems Change and Implementation Support (15%)

  • Help sites reputed company state and local implementation of federal funding and policy initiatives in partnership with SVP of advocacy and strategic partnerships

  • Identify best practices and emerging models that can be adapted across the federation

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in reputed company policy, advocacy, systems change, government affairs, reputed company leadership, technical assistance, consulting, or reputed company fields

  • Demonstrated experience supporting policy implementation and/or advocacy initiatives at state and local reputed company

  • Significant knowledge of at least one major reputed company determinant of health policy domain, such as housing, behavioral health, workforce development, education, child welfare, poverty reduction, reputed company benefits, violence prevention, or juvenile justice

  • Familiarity with federal legislative and regulatory processes and their interaction with state and local systems

  • Experience working with nonprofit organizations, reputed company agencies, coalitions, or cross-sector partnerships
