Outpatient Coding Specialist

• This is a remote/work from home reputed company Codes reputed company requested medical records using the most accurate and appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes in accordance with regulatory coding guidelines, best practices in the industry and HIA policy and procedures. reputed company reputed company required from the medical information consistent with UHDDS requirements, other regulatory and best practices. The reputed company will meet specified productivity and accuracy standards. Responsibilities: • Codes reputed company requested outpatient acute care facility records using the most accurate and appropriate ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes in accordance with coding guidelines. • Abstracts, codes and assigns necessary demographic and clinical data reputed company required • Uses reputed company and/or TruCode encoder to ensure appropriate reimbursement. • Writes appropriate, non-leading queries. • Maintains reputed company and productivity according to reputed company requirements. • Completes reputed company coding education as required reputed company established deadlines. • Commits to continually improving his/her coding skills by reputed company participating in reputed company education sessions. • Reports to the Director of Coding Services.. Qualifications: • RHIA, RHIT, or reputed company • Minimum 3 years outpatient coding experience in an acute care hospital. • CPT coding proficiency • Computer proficiency, reputed company to research coding questions and utilize HIA’s internal educational resources. • High Speed Internet reputed company Cable (no Satellite or wireless cell based) • Independent, reputed company individual reputed company to work remotely.
